The Affiliates

I know what you’re thinking: “It was bound to happen eventually!”.

Every blogger with crowdlending in their portfolio, eventually start to throw around affiliate links, in order to capitalize on their readers (I’m sorry, but that’s the truth, ain’t it!?).

I once vowed that I would never monetize my blog, as it would take away my feeling of “true independence”. I don’t want to force myself to endorse a platform or a product that I cannot vouch for 100%. – And let’s be honest, nobody can vouch 100% for anything, really – especially not crowdlending/crowdinvesting platforms. It’s a risky business, and I wan’t to make sure that everybody knows this πŸ˜‰ YOUR CAPITAL IS AT RISK HERE, GUYS! DON’T INVEST MONEY YOU’RE NOT WILLING TO LOSE!

That being said, I am a people pleaser! And I can’t ignore the interest (pun intended).

Since I get an e-mail every now and then from people, asking if I have any “signup links” I want to share, I figured I might as well share them publicly, for the sake of full transparency. – And if (grown-up) people decide they want to start to smoking, who am I to deny them a light πŸ˜› (Just for the record; I do not advocate for people to start smoking! It was a metaphor, geez!)

Aaaanyway, in order to justify this (granted) highly capitalistic move on my part, I decided to donate whatever income I may receive, from any affiliates to charity. – But then the wife demanded that I at least keep 50% to “myself” (true story), to help finance my work on the blog (and the hosting). So…”We” decided on that compromise…

I do not expect to bring in 6 figures from this new income stream, so I think my work will remain under-financed for the foreseeable future anyway πŸ˜‰ But that’s OK!

Enough of my self-sabotaging ranting!

Here’s the best deals, from some of my current preferred crowdlending platforms:

Platform Bonus Cashback Days
Crowdestor € 0 1.0% 90
Envestio € 5 0.5% 270
Monethera € 5 0.5% 180
Wisefund € 5 0.5% 270

Β
If you decide to use any of my links to signup to any of the above platforms, feel free to drop me a line so I know who you are (or not, if you prefer to remain anonymous). I will send you virtual hugs and high-fives in return! πŸ˜›

To sum up: 50% of the affiliate income that I receive, will go to charity. I have not picked the exact charity yet, but it will be a local charity that has something to do with kids and their well-being (something like Make-A-Wish or SMILE). I will do a yearly tally, and donate the proceeds of the affiliate program(s) to a good cause. Feel free to share your favorite charity with me, if you use my links, but I retain the right to solely decide, which charity to donate to πŸ™‚

Oh, and please don’t blame me, if you lose your money (investing involve risks)!

THANKS! πŸ˜€
